A common amount of precipitation falls here at Upper Pond; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest of the months is February. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Upper Pond get into the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's while Upper Pond       night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the-10's. Get dripping wet paddling on Big Brook River, and you'll come across a pretty lake called Island Pond. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Going for a hike along the Round Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; camping at Little Black Check Point is always a fine experience. Hiking along the Fox Brook Trail is wonderful fun. This lake is so wonderful. Not far                  from Upper Pond you acquire some good water scenery at Perch Pond Dam, and a great vista of beautiful Black Mountain is available.
