This lake is so wonderful. Maple Grove Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and a lake nearby is Third Lake. There is a glorious hiking trail near Unknown Pond called the Eagle Lake Trail, and Eastbrook Campground is a fine local campground. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Unknown Pond. Baker Brook flows through this vicinity, and if you need a place       to stay Sea Breeze Motel is a fine choice. There's whitewater on Mopang Stream for all you thrill seekers, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Lead Mountain Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Narraguagus River, and Unknown Pond is not the only location close by, Twentyeight Pond is a close by lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Unknown Pond a wet location; the wettest month                  of the year is ordinarily November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Unknown Pond, and the overnight is a bit colder of course, regularly in the 50's.
