Unknown Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. The Lead Mountain Trail is a fine hiking trail in close proximity to Unknown Pond; if you need a spot to stay Sea Breeze Motel is a glorious choice. Unknown Pond is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Maple Grove Campground       is a wonderful place to camp nearby. Lakes? Sure, Third Lake is in the neighborhood. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Unknown Pond. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Mopang Stream; nearby you come across the Eagle Lake Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Narraguagus River, and Twentyeight Pond is a nice lake                  close by. At Unknown Pond through the summer highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
