Sure, White Pond is in close proximity, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Big Black River. The yearly precipitation here at Ugh Lake is about average; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Clayton Lake is a glorious lake close to Ugh Lake, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chemquasabamticook Stream.
