If you are traveling by, why not stop by Twin Pond. Hiking along the Telephone Trail is tremendous fun, and a beautiful lake like Eyelet Pond is a magnificent place to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Chase Carry, and do take a look at Shepherd Pond, it's a beautiful lake. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Twin Pond get into the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The

| | winter brings highs down to the 20's; overnight lows through the winter for Twin Pond tend to be in the-10's. The annual rainfall here at Twin Pond is about average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is usually the driest month. Shepherd Brook Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Twin Pond, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Musquacook Stream.
