North Twin Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you       can always go whitewater paddling on Allagash River. Don't leave Twin Lake without first going for a hike along the Chase Carry. For the duration of the warm months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Twin Lake. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows during the winter for Twin Lake tend to be in the-10's.
