This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Smith Brook for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and don't leave Twin Lake without first going for a hike along the Chase Carry. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Cliff Lake; tremendous hiking is available along the Carry Trail. There's some flowing water close by, North Twin Brook is a stream you can stop by while here, and not far from       Twin Lake you'll hit upon Grass Pond which is a beautiful lake. The amount of rain that falls at Twin Lake is close to the national average; July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. And that's not all you can do here at Twin Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Moosehead Lake. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Twin Lake. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the                  20's with temperatures at Twin Lake dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights.
