If you came to camp Big Moose Campground is a great place to do that; Turtle Pond is right by the Carry Trail. Through the months of summer at Turtle Pond highs are frequently in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Turtle Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Schoodic Stream in a kayak. Take a hike on the Scutaze Trail, and at Seboeis Dam right next door to Turtle Pond there are some exciting things to see. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Turtle Pond is peerless! February is the month with the least moisture. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Piscataquis River, and the Lard Camp Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. People from Bangor love to come to Turtle Pond.
