    A visit to Turtle Pond is always a good idea. Best Western Fort Knox Inn is a nice place to get some rest; don't miss out on a magnificent swamp; Camp Stream Bog is right here at Turtle Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Balsam Cove Campground is always a splendid experience; get soaked paddling on Blue Hill Falls. A cool spot to have a look at near Turtle Pond is The Bluffs.
This lake is so wonderful. This is a brilliant area for folks who like
 
   lakes. Wight Pond is a lake nearby, and don't leave Turtle Pond without first going for a hike along the Blue Hill Trail. Good hiking is available along the Bald Mountain Trail; paddling on Narramissic River is so much fun. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Fourth Pond, and it's a great idea to take a look at McCaslin Stream.

               place to camp here at Turtle Pond is Whispering Pines Campground; the peak of Chandler Parker Mountain can be made out from Turtle Pond. Summertime highs at Turtle Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Turtle Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Turtle Pond; Old Cove Trail is a tremendous local trail.
