The yearly rainfall here at Turtle Pond is about average; the month with most of the rain is November, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Stay the night at Balsam Cove Campground; why not pop by a swamp like Camp Stream Bog since you're here at Turtle Pond. Through the warmest time of the year here at Turtle Pond, high temperatures mostly       get into the 70's, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Turtle Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Turtle Pond; Old Cove Trail is a great local trail; Turtle Pond is not the only spot close by, Wight Pond is a close by                  lake. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little journey to McCaslin Stream if you're here at Turtle Pond, and paddling on Blue Hill Falls is so much fun. Don't leave Turtle Pond without first going for a hike along the Blue Hill Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Turtle Pond has to offer, you can camp at Whispering Pines Campground; if you've had enough of Turtle Pond, Fourth Pond is nearby.
