Highs during the winter are frequently in the 20's with                  temperatures at Turner Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. James Pond is a good lake next to Turner Pond, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Hockomock Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn WATERVILLE is a good spot to get some rest, and camping is available at Pine Ridge Campgrounds. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great globe it would be.
