Soar down the rapids of Carrabasset in a kayak, and hiking along the Bigelow Range Trail is great fun. This lake is so wonderful. Gilman Pond Campground is a good campground nearby, and if you need a place to stay Herbert Grand Hotel is a fine choice. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Tufts Pond. Really great skiing awaits you at Titcomb; Shiloh       Pond is a glorious lake nearby. Alder Brook is a pretty stream that is worth checking out; a splendid close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy Stream, and Tufts Pond is right by the Arnolds Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Tufts Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the snow is November while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You                  can never get enough of the fine skiing at Sugarloaf USA, and if you came for an overnight stay Deer Farms Camps and Campground is a wonderful location to camp.
