If you are in this part of Maine make sure to pay a visit to Tufts Pond. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Fire Warden Trail; Gilman Pond Campground is a tremendous local campground. Carrabasset is a good whitewater spot close to Tufts Pond, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Titcomb.

| | is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year at Tufts Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Tufts Pond. The Bigelow Range Trail offers hiking at its best, and Comfort Inn & Suites is a tremendous spot to get some rest.

at Wilson Lake Inn. Alder Brook is a brilliant local stream, and if you came for an overnight stay Deer Farms Camps and Campground is a good site to camp. Having a good time at Tufts Pond is trouble-free. There's delightful hiking
along the Arnolds Trail; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy Stream.
