    A visit to Trout Pond is always a good idea. A wonderful close by hotel is Bingham Motor Inn. An average amount of rain falls at Trout Pond; July is the month that gets the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the long summer days at Trout Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Trout Pond.
Get yourself into a
 
   kayak and hit Kennebec River - East Outlet; don't leave Trout Pond without first going for a hike along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Trout Pond. Trout Pond Mountain is easy to spot from Trout Pond, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Kennebec River - West Outlet. If you came to camp Northern Pride Lodge and Campground is a fine location to do that, and there's brilliant  
               hiking along the Intake Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Trout Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Caseys Spencer Bay Campground is a magnificent location for that, and swamps don’t sound that perfect but Moore Bog close to Trout Pond is quite perfect. Trout Stream flows through this vicinity, and if you need a place to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a great choice.
