    Beautiful Trout Pond has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Wassataquoik Stream for all you adrenaline kick people, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Sandbank Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Trout Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hidden Springs Campground, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Millinocket Stream.

   is about average; November is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. But wait, there's more to do close to Trout Pond. You're sure to encounter some wonderful people from Bangor here, and going for a hike on the Telos Tote Road is always a magnificent adventure. There's so much to do here at Trout Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Allagash Gateway Campsite is a great place for that, and there are brilliant locations  
               to look at along the Sand Bank Trail.
All through the warm months at Trout Pond highs are typically in the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Trout Pond temperatures plunge to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Kelloch Mountain is picturesque and can be spotted from Trout Pond. Lakes? Sure, Moose Pond is nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn; not far from Trout Pond you'll stumble on Deasey Ponds which is a pretty lake.
