Lakes are magnificent; Lower Oxhead Pond is a lake that's near Trout Pond. After a long day outdoors White Birches Country Club is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Nicatous Stream. Summertime at Trout Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs       in the 20's, and night lows at Trout Pond through the winter commonly descend into the 0's. A great deal of rainfall falls at Trout Pond; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Good hiking is available along the Lead Mountain Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Middle Oxhead Pond. A pleasant spot to camp here at Trout                  Pond is Maple Grove Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Eagle Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
