Summer at Trout Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Trout Pond. The Old Dam Tote Road       offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Trout Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Bear Mountain Lodge is a great place for that. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Mattawamkeag River - West Branch, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend St. Croix Stream. Good hiking is available along the Kennedy Tote                  Road, and hey, Little Smith Brook is a brilliant local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Trout Pond; Pierce Tote Road is a great local trail; if you came to camp Birch Point Lodge Campgrounds is a brilliant place to do that.
