Trout Lake is a nice lake to visit. Drift down the rapids of Baskahegan Stream in a kayak; if you come at the right time of year, Grand Lake Stream offers some good whitewater. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Trout Lake has to offer, you can camp at Maine Wilderness Camps, and some of the water nearby flows, like Denver Brook. This lake is so wonderful.
