The beauty of Trout Lake is reason enough to stop by. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Old Stream. All the water falling down from the sky makes Trout Lake a wet spot; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | | Bar Harbor Inn is a great location to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Trout Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Keenes Lake Camping Grounds is a fine place for that. A lake close by is Sam Hill Lake, and Trout Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Big Lake Campground is a brilliant local campground. invigorates the soul. There's whitewater on Machias River for all you adrenaline junkies, and Trout Lake is not the only spot close by, Grover Lake is a close by lake. Summertime at Trout Lake arrives with high temperatures in
the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's while Trout Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's.

Clifford Lake
 | Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
