The Webster Brook Tote Road offers hiking at its best, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Machias River. What a place this is for outdoors people. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Trafton Pond; Millinocket Lake Tote Road is a perfect local trail. Through the warm months here at Trafton Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's       regularly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Trafton Pond drop into the-10's. Good hiking is available along the Round Trail, and why not camp at Umcolcus Sporting Camps since you're here at Trafton Pond. Trafton Pond gets a normal amount of rainfall; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. Homestead Lodge is                  a brilliant local campground, and if you need a place to stay Katahdin Inn is a great choice.
