And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do right next door to Toothaker Pond. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Orbeton Stream, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Piazza Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Toothaker Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and       February meanwhile is the driest month. Why not camp at Crocker Mountain Cirque Campground if you're here at Toothaker Pond, and what would winter be without some skiing at Sugarloaf USA. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Dummer's Beach, and the slopes of Saddleback are so inviting nobody can resist. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; on a nice day you can take a hike along the                  Chimney Trail. Getting to Cottle Brook from Toothaker Pond is easy, and Sandy River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby. For the duration of the days of summer here at Toothaker Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Toothaker Pond.
