Glide down the rapids of St. George River in a kayak, and going for a hike on the Ragged Mountain Trail is always a delightful adventure. Tolman Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is November while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Do have a look at Tolman Dam if you're here at Tolman       Pond, and a day at gorgeous Laite Memorial Beach in the vicinity of Tolman Pond is a magnificent thing to do. If you need a spot to stay Island View Inn is a great choice, and get drenched paddling on Oyster River. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like The Bog near Tolman Pond make for delightful spots to visit, and good hiking is available along the Mount Battie Trail. Playing golf is lots of fun at Rockland Golf Club, and on a lovely day you acquire a                  nice panorama of Spruce Mountain from Tolman Pond. Go for a hike on the Mount Megunticook Trail; there are plenty of folks from Rockland here. The skiing at Camden is brilliant, and if you came for an overnight stay Roberts Roost Campground is a perfect place to camp. A lake close by is Lermond Pond, and Saltwater Farm Campground is a good local campground. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do near Tolman Pond. Dry warm beds await you at The Country Inn Camden-Rckprt. During the warm months highs here at Tolman Pond get into the 70's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, usually in the 50's.
