Glide down the rapids of Mattawamkeag River - East Branch in a kayak, as expected you could also explore Spaulding Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Timoney Lake. Gotta ski! Bigrock is a fine location to do that; if you're here you can take a hike along       the Kennedy Tote Road. Summertime highs at Timoney Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's; the night is a little chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and overnight lows at Timoney Lake during the winter ordinarily drop into the-10's. Scottish Inns Houlton is a delightful site to get some rest; camping is available at Bear Mountain Lodge. Timoney Mountain is a peak you can spot from Timoney Lake; if you came                  for an overnight stay Birch Point Lodge Campgrounds is a pleasant site to camp. Timoney Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Carson Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Mattawamkeag River - West Branch offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful.
