Tilly Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a splendid local campground. The Munsungan Lake Tote Road offers hiking at its best, and camping at South Branch Pond Campground is always a great experience. An average amount of rainfall falls at Tilly Pond; July is when you get the most rain here while February is commonly the driest month. Tilly Pond really is       in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Munsungan Stream, and a short tour to Millinocket Falls is always worthwhile. Little Bog Brook is a delightful spot to go to; Tilly Pond is right by the Millinocket Lake Tote Road. Millinocket Lake Dam is a beautiful place in the neighborhood of Tilly Pond; after a long day outdoors Katahdin Inn is a fine site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.                  There's whitewater on Millinocket Stream for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and do take a hike on the Mooseleuk Tote Road. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Tilly Pond, and the night is somewhat colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's.
