A nice close by hotel is Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge, and paddling on Blue Hill Falls is so much fun. A nice beach right next door to Third Pond is Birchhead Shore, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Blue Hill Trail. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Third Pond; November is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is       so wonderful. On a delightful day you can explore Mill Stream Meadow, a swamp right next door to Third Pond. Get covered with water paddling on Narramissic River, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Old Cove Trail. The peak of Seven Star Hill can be spotted from Third Pond, and if you came to camp Patten Pond Camping Resort is a tremendous place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Carleton Stream is a glorious local stream. There's so                  much to do here at Third Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Robin Hood Camp is a delightful spot for that. Any time is a tremendous time at Third Pond if you adore the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Twilite Motel is a glorious site to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. For the period of the summer at Third Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
