Paddling on Webster Brook is so much fun; if you came to camp Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a tremendous place to do that. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Third Lake. The Freezeout Road is a great hiking trail near Third Lake. High temperatures at Third Lake all through the warm months are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's.       The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Third Lake. On a magnificent day at Third Lake you can take a hike along the Eagle Lake Tote Road. There's so much to do here at Third Lake that you need to camp here for a while, South Branch Pond Campground is a tremendous spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes North Branch Brayley Brook; get soaked paddling on Munsungan Stream.                  Third Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture.
