A round of golf at nearby Evergreen Golf Club & Golf School is a magnificent way to kill some time, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dead River - South Branch. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Piazza Rock Trail; if       you came for an overnight stay Black Brook Cove Campground is a good location to camp. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Third Greely Pond; Bemis Trail is a splendid local trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Roland Pond. From a precipitation point of view Third Greely Pond is a reasonably typical place; during August this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Why not take a                  refreshing hike along the Milrose Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Saddleback if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Third Greely Pond. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Black Mountain, and North Camps is a great campground nearby. High temperatures at Third Greely Pond during the days of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's.
