An average amount of precipitation falls at Tenmile Lake; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's fine hiking along the Pierce Tote Road, and a good site to camp here at Tenmile Lake is My Brothers Place. Any time is a good time at Tenmile Lake if you love the outdoors. Meduxnekeag River - South Branch is a magnificent       whitewater spot close to Tenmile Lake, and tremendous hiking is available along the Potters Trail. Shiretown Motor Inn is a glorious location to get some rest; hiking is a popular thing to do around Tenmile Lake; Kennedy Tote Road is a good local trail. If you need a site to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a magnificent choice. A lake close by is Elevenmile Lake; camping is available at Mountain View Campground. Tenmile Lake is not the only location                  close by, Mud Lake is a close by lake, and you can run the rapids of Mattawamkeag River - East Branch. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Tenmile Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's.
