    A visit to Tannery Pond is always a good idea. Tannery Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Jo-mary Lake Campground is a good local campground, and obviously East Branch Pleasant River is a pretty stream that is worth taking a look at. Good hiking is available along the Pleasant River Trail. At Tannery Pond through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime  
   are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Tannery Pond plunge into the-10's.
Tannery Pond gets a typical amount of rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's brilliant hiking along the Northwest Ridge Road, and Tannery Pond is a site with many visitors from Bangor. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Piscataquis River, and
 
               tremendous water scenery is available at Pleasant River Dam right next door to Tannery Pond.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Tannery Pond. There's whitewater on Pleasant River - East Branch for all you adrenaline junkies, and Lower Ebeemee Pond is a pleasant lake close by. On a lovely day you acquire a vista of Brown Hill from Tannery Pond; you can go for a hike on the Norton Trail.
