Beautiful Swift River Pond has much to offer visitors. While you're here at Swift River Pond you can take a hike along the Brook Trail. There's so much to do here at Swift River Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground is a perfect spot for that. Hiking along the Piazza Rock Trail is great fun, and you can hit the slopes at Black Mountain close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. A range like the Blue Mountains here at Swift

Man, is there a load of cool things to do near Swift River Pond. Have a good hiking adventure along the Chimney Trail, and if you need a site to stay The Perennial Inn is a great choice. spots on Sandy River, and you'll locate a picturesque lake called Little Swift River Pond. Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Dead River - South
Branch. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Swift River Pond has to offer, you can camp at Black Brook Cove Campground. A normal amount of rain falls here at Swift River Pond; of all the months in a year August is the
one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Swift River Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the
wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Swift River Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Witham Bog near Swift River Pond, it's a scenic lake, and Saddleback has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff.

 | Today I finished a kayak trip from Strong, Maine and took out at Osoola Park in Norridgewock. It took a day and three quarters. The bridge in New Sharon is by far the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that. Need to pay attention.... |
