Camp Cherith is a good local campground, and after a long day outdoors Sanford Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. This spot is great, just explore all the fun things to do close to Swan Pond. Playing golf is lots of fun at Salmon Falls Restaurant Motel & Golf Club; skiing at Shawnee Peak is one of those things you just have to       do. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Ossipee River, and do take a look at West Outlet since you're here at Swan Pond. This lake is so wonderful. This is a glorious neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Roberts Pond is a lake nearby, and why not camp at Bunganut Lake Camping Area while you're here at Swan Pond. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Swan Pond;                  the overnight is a little chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 30's; night lows at Swan Pond during the winter generally descend into the 10's. The summit of Grant Hill can be distinguished from Swan Pond, and Super 8 Sanford Kennebunkport Area is a delightful spot to get some rest. Swan Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and September is the month with the least moisture.
