If you like lakes and you're in this part of Maine you can check out Swan Lake. The slopes of New Hermon Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. There's so much to do here at Swan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, The Moorings Campground is a great place for that. | | be without some skiing at Camden; fine hiking is available along the Spring Brook Trail. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. There's whitewater on Goose River for all you adrenaline kick people, and Oak Hill is clearly visible from Swan Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Seascape Motel & Cottages is a great spot to spend a night or two, and if you're here, you could stop at Dead Brook. Swan Lake in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. There's always Swan Lake Dam to go to next
to Swan Lake. Throughout the months of summer here at Swan Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are mostly in the 20's; night
lows in the 0's for Swan Lake. If you need a place to stay Belfast Harbor Inn is a perfect choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Swan Lake; Mount Megunticook Trail is a great local trail. Swan Lake is not the only
place close by, Toddy Pond is a close by lake, and Swan Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort is a good local campground. You are close to Spruce Point while you're here at Swan Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Battie Trail.
