After a long day outdoors Armands Orchard Side Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two, and a great place to camp here at Sutherland Pond is Freeport/durham Koa. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Lost Valley and strap some skis to your feet; whitewater paddling is brilliant on Chandler Brook.       Travel Inn is a good location to get some rest, and you'll locate a beautiful lake called Round Pond. The high level of rain makes Sutherland Pond a quite wet spot; the month with most of the rain is November, and September on the other hand is the driest. If you love the outdoors, you'll love Sutherland Pond. Enjoy a round of golf at Apple Valley Golf Course not far from Sutherland Pond; some of the water close by flows, like Curtis Brook. Why not camp                  at Big Skye Acres Campground while you're here at Sutherland Pond, and if you're going to from Lewiston-Auburn, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. At Sutherland Pond through the summertime highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's.
