The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Saddleback. If the weather is wonderful here at Stratton Brook Pond, you can go for a hike along the Piazza Rock Trail; a quick tour to South Branch Carrabasset River is undeniably a pleasant idea. During the summertime months at Stratton Brook Pond highs are mostly in the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's.       For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Stratton Brook Pond overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Fire Warden Trail. There's so much to do here at Stratton Brook Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Crocker Mountain Cirque Campground is a great spot for that. Just can't get enough of Stratton Brook Pond. If the weather is wonderful,                  you get a magnificent sight of The Horns from Stratton Brook Pond; there's whitewater on Dead River - South Branch for all you adrenaline kick people. The yearly rainfall here at Stratton Brook Pond is about average; November is when you get the most snow here while February is frequently the driest month. Sugarloaf USA is a very popular ski area nearby, and if you came to camp Deer Farms Camps and Campground is a glorious location to do that.
