Stockbridge Pond is a wet place that gets a lot of rain; most of the rain falls during November, and August meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Blue Hill Falls, and dry warm beds await you at Ann's Point Inn. From Stockbridge Pond you get a great view of Big Mountain, and on a great day you can take a look at Lily Pond, a swamp close to       Stockbridge Pond. Do stop at Goose Pond in close proximity to Stockbridge Pond, it's a beautiful lake; if you need a location to stay Central House Inn is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. The Western Mountain South Face Trail is a great hiking trail right next door to Stockbridge Pond. There's so much to do here at Stockbridge Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Bass Harbor Campground is a fine site for that. Stockbridge Pond truly                  is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Back Cove is in close proximity to Stockbridge Pond and is a pleasant site to go to, and Acadia National Park is one of the destinations that are nice to stop at nearby. If you came to camp Quiet Side Campground is a brilliant place to do that; Hero Beach is a striking beach to visit. While you're here at Stockbridge Pond you can take a hike along the Wonderland Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Union River. On a delightful day at Stockbridge Pond you can take a hike along the South Face Trail, and you have to beyond doubt visit pretty Joyce Beach if you're here. During the summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Stockbridge Pond with night lows in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Stockbridge Pond.
