the dark hours in the winter at Stillwater River Reservoir temperatures fall to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Penobscot River is so much fun, and going for a hike on the Peaked Mountain Trail is always a tremendous
adventure. Glide down the rapids of Stillwater River in a kayak, and you don't ought to go far to enjoy University Forest. University Inn Academic Suites is a great place to get some rest, and the Old Gold Mine Trail is a nice hiking trail close by.
