Go to Stetson Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the White Mountains. Go for a hike on the Chimney Trail; Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Stetson Pond is not the only site close by, Lufkin Pond is a close by lake; close by you discover the Piazza Rock Trail which is a great hiking trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains.

| | There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Sandy River; a lake nearby is Mud Pond. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the White Mountains. Going for a hike on the Brook Trail is always a magnificent adventure; why not take a little trip to Crossman Stream while you're here. lake is so wonderful. Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Black Mountain, and there's whitewater on Sandy River - South Branch for all you adrenaline junkies. The warmest time of the year at Stetson Pond comes with high temperatures

The bridge in New Sharon is by far the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that.
