If you like lakes and you're in this part of Maine you can check out Stetson Pond. Having a nice time at Stetson Pond is uncomplicated. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Sandy River, and Beech Hill is clearly visible from Stetson Pond. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Paddling on Sandy River - South Branch is so much fun; don't leave Stetson Pond without first going for a hike along the Piazza Rock Trail.

Saddleback is a very popular ski area close by. This lake is so wonderful. Summertime highs at Stetson Pond typically tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. All through the winter highs
are in the 20's with temperatures at Stetson Pond dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a side tour to Crossman Stream, and the Chimney Trail offers hiking at its best.
