Go to Staple Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. Staple Pond typically gets a great deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Atlantic Ocean, and if you want to hit the beach, Little Beach is in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Birch Knoll is lovely and can be spotted from Staple Pond, and a visit to close by Israels Head is very relaxing. If you need a site to stay The Beachmere Inn is a pleasant choice, and a swamp like Rush Swamp near Staple Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. You're sure to bump into some friendly folks from Portland-South Portland here. A brilliant
location to camp here at Staple Pond is Dixon's Campgrounds, and you could always look at Pond Rocks. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Staple Pond. Nearby lakes? Sure, Briley Pond
is next to Staple Pond; Great Works River is a nice whitewater spot close by.
High temperatures at Staple Pond through the warm months are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. High temperatures
during the winter are normally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Staple Pond. On a great day it's a good idea to spend the day at Ogunquit Beach, and camping is available at Dixons Campground.
