Whitewater paddling is great on Sandy Stream, and a splendid nearby hotel is Bingham Motor Inn. Get wet paddling on Carrabasset; the summit of Chandler Hill can be distinguished from Spruce Pond. Through the warm months highs here at Spruce Pond get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's, and winter nights come with       lows in the 0's to Spruce Pond. A typical amount of rain falls here at Spruce Pond; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most snow, and the driest month of the year is February. So much fun stuff to do at Spruce Pond, so little time. A pleasant place to camp here at Spruce Pond is Happy Horseshoe Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
