     In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Carrabasset, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Sugarloaf USA. If you need a site to stay Herbert Grand Hotel is a great choice, naturally you could also go to Hancock Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Sandy Stream is a magnificent whitewater spot in close proximity to Spruce Pond, and Spruce Pond is right by the Arnolds  
   Trail. Just can't get enough of Spruce Pond. A tremendous view of delightful Chandler Hill is available from Spruce Pond, and you can stay the night at Happy Horseshoe Campground.
Titcomb has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Spruce Pond has to offer, you can camp at Gilman Pond Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Aziscohos Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Bingham Motor Inn.
 
               The annual precipitation here at Spruce Pond is about average; November is the month that gets the most snow, and February meanwhile is the driest month. During the summertime highs here at Spruce Pond reach the 70's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Spruce Pond nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
