So much fun stuff to do here at Spring Lake, too glorious to be true. Get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Nicatous Stream; there are other locations here than Spring Lake, for example Lower Pistol Lake. Stay the night at Maple Grove Campground; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Eagle Lake Trail. Lower Taylor Brook flows through this area, and Porter Pond is a glorious       lake nearby. Spring Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. During the summertime highs here at Spring Lake reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Spring Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Spring Lake is not far at all from Bangor, and going                  for a hike on the Lead Mountain Trail is always a wonderful adventure. This lake is so wonderful.
