You'll need more than a day to look at everything Spencer Stream has to offer, you can camp at King & Bartlett Lake Camp, and if you're here, you could go to Joe Pokum Bog. Spencer Stream is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Black Arrow Lodge is a brilliant place to camp nearby; there's perfect hiking along the Fire Warden Trail. High temperatures at Spencer Stream through the summer are in the 70's, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, typically in the 50's.  | 15 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
