From a rainfall point of view Spectacle Pond is a rather normal location; during July this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn; pleasant hiking is available along the Millinocket Lake Tote Road. Go for a hike on the Round Trail, and a pretty lake like Lost Pond is a nice spot to pop by. This place is so good, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to       do close to Spectacle Pond. On a beautiful day you acquire a sight of Jack Mountain from Spectacle Pond, and lakes are such serene places, why not stop by Center Pond. Don't leave Spectacle Pond without first going for a hike along the Mooseleuk Tote Road. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Spectacle Pond has to offer, you can camp at Homestead Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to stop at some attention-grabbing                  stuff, stop at The Pinnacle, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Machias River. During the long summer days at Spectacle Pond highs are mostly in the 70's, and the overnight is quite cooler of course, usually in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 20's while Spectacle Pond overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's.
