Camping at Homestead Lodge is always a tremendous experience, and the panorama of Jack Mountain is delightful. If you came to camp Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a magnificent place to do that, and Spectacle Pond is right by the Millinocket Lake Tote Road. All through the summer at Spectacle Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's.       The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Spectacle Pond. Drift down the rapids of Machias River in a kayak, and if you want to visit some out of the ordinary stuff, visit The Pinnacle. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Spectacle Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Spectacle Pond; Round Trail is a splendid local trail; if you need a place to stay Katahdin Inn is a good choice.                  A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Spectacle Pond; July is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
