The annual rainfall here at Spaulding Lake is about average; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Mattawamkeag River - East Branch, and dry warm beds await you at Shiretown Motor Inn. That right there is a load already, but it goes on; Spaulding Lake has it all. Spaulding Lake is right by the Potters Trail, and       Scottish Inns Houlton is a splendid location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Long Lake is a nice lake next to Spaulding Lake. The top of Sam Drew Mountain is easily observed from Spaulding Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Spaulding Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bear Mountain Lodge. Spaulding Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Birch Point Lodge Campgrounds is a great site to camp nearby; lakes are                  such serene places, why not pop by Timoney Lake. Throughout the months of summer at Spaulding Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Spaulding Lake. Very pretty scenery and nice skiing is what you get at Bigrock, and the Kennedy Tote Road offers hiking at its best.
