    Do stop by Southwest Pond while you're in this part of Maine. Black Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff, and you can go for a hike on the Brook Trail. So much fun stuff to do here at Southwest Pond, too brilliant to be true. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Southwest Pond has to offer, you can camp at Black Brook Cove Campground, and at Southwest Pond you can distinguish Blue Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.

   so wonderful. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Saddleback, and paddling on Sandy River is so much fun. Southwest Pond is located in the White Mountains. This location, the White Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. Southwest Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and don't leave Southwest Pond without first going for a hike along the Piazza Rock Trail.

               are glorious locations to discover along the Chimney Trail, and The Perennial Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest. Summer at Southwest Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Southwest Pond. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the White Mountains. Southwest Pond is in a great location in the shadow of the Blue Mountains, and get wet paddling on Swift River.
The annual rain here at Southwest Pond is about average; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February.
