This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. Black Brook Cove Campground is a wonderful local campground, and the dominant characteristic in the vicinity is the Blue Mountains. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Southwest Pond; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is bountiful here in the White Mountains. Do stop by Witham Pond in the

| | neighborhood of Southwest Pond, it's a delightful lake, and Southwest Pond is right by the Piazza Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Brook Trail offers hiking at its best, and a wonderful nearby hotel is The Perennial Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground while you're here at Southwest Pond, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy River. exciting things to do are truly abundant here at Southwest Pond. You'll stumble on a charming lake called Swift River Pond near Southwest Pond, and there's pleasant hiking along the Chimney Trail. If you want a pleasant time in the
great outdoors just come on up to the White Mountains. The top of Blue Mountains is easily seen from Southwest Pond, and you can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Saddleback. Really nice skiing awaits you at Black Mountain;
Swift River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby. High temperatures at Southwest Pond during the warmest time of the year are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime
come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Southwest Pond all through the winter commonly dip into the-10's.

 | Today I finished a kayak trip from Strong, Maine and took out at Osoola Park in Norridgewock. It took a day and three quarters. The bridge in New Sharon is by far the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that. Need to pay attention.... |
