The Albany Notch Trail offers hiking at its best, and the slopes of Mount Abram are so inviting nobody can resist. That right there is a heap of exciting things already but it goes on, the White Mountains has it all. A quick visit to McCrillian Brook right next door to South Pond is a good idea, and soar down the rapids of Crooked River in a kayak. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to South Pond       with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while South Pond overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's. South Pond gets a common amount of annual precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is February. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. If you need a place to stay The Perennial Inn is a perfect choice; hey, Gotta ski right? Black Mountain                  is a fine place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Stony Brook Rec. and Camping since you're here at South Pond, and South Branch Dam is a stunning location. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the White Mountains. A nice nearby hotel is The Bethel Inn Resort, and from South Pond you acquire a glorious vista of Mount Christopher. This lake is so wonderful. What would a place like South Pond be without attention-grabbing nearby traits like Bucks Ledge, and there's glorious hiking along the Albany Mountain Trail. A wonderful place to camp here at South Pond is Littlefield Beaches Campground; don't leave South Pond without first going for a hike along the Albany Brook Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful White Mountains.
