South Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. And if you're still looking for more outdoors amusing stuff just keep reading. On a great day at South Pond you can take a hike along the Ragged Mountain Trail, and a lake close by is Havener Pond. Summertime at South Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while nighttime       lows are commonly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows at South Pond throughout the winter ordinarily sink into the 0's. There is a good hiking trail close to South Pond called the Mount Megunticook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Warren Sawmill Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and the Hockomock Nature Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by. Why not camp at Loons Cry Campground since you're here at South Pond,                  and dry warm beds await you at Samoset Resort on the Ocean. This lake is so wonderful. From South Pond you acquire a nice view of Stahls Hill; glide down the rapids of Oyster River in a kayak. You'll meet a lot of people from Rockland here, and The Country Inn Camden-Rckprt is a perfect site to get some rest. If you come at the right time of year, St. George River offers some pleasant whitewater, and pleasant water scenery is available at Warren Sawmill Pond Dam near South Pond.
