South Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The snow is delightful at Saddleback, and you can stay the night at Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground. A day on the slopes of Black Mountain is just what you need, and South Pond is a delightful site to visit for more than one day, Black Brook Cove Campground is a delightful site to camp nearby. | | is down it descends down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at South Pond fall into the-10's.
