Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Brook Trail. The annual precipitation here at South Pond is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the White Mountains. A brilliant spot to camp here at South Pond       is Black Brook Cove Campground, and great skiing awaits you at Saddleback. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The White Mountains is unbeatable! Do pop by Witham Pond in close proximity to South Pond, it's a lovely lake, and for you golfers we recommend close by Evergreen Golf Club & Golf School. Camping is available at Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Sandy River. And if that's not enough, there's lots                  more to do near South Pond. A picturesque lake like Sandy River Ponds in the vicinity of South Pond is a pleasant place to explore, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Chimney Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
