You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Saddleback since you're here; there's some out of the ordinary stuff to make out at Beaver Pond Dam in the vicinity of South Boundary Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The Arnold Trail is a delightful hiking trail in close proximity to South Boundary Pond, and Cupsuptic Campground is a fine campground nearby. The high level of rainfall makes South Boundary       Pond a quite wet place; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is typically the driest month. Going for a hike on the Morrell Trail is always a tremendous adventure; if you came for an overnight stay Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a great location to camp. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Lakes are nice; Northwest Pond is a lake that's close to South Boundary Pond, and close by you hit upon the Arnold Pond Trail which                  is a great hiking trail. There's whitewater on Dead River - North Branch for all you adrenaline junkies. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at South Boundary Pond reach the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at South Boundary Pond temperatures sink to the-10's. This is a great area for people who like lakes. Little Northwest Pond is a lake in the neighborhood; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Kennebago River.   The Perennial Inn, Rumford 39 miles away The ambiance projects a genuine feeling of country hospitality.
