There's whitewater on Dead River - North Branch for all you thrill seekers, and if you came to camp Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a tremendous spot to do that. Good hiking is available along the Morrell Trail, and Beaver Pond Dam is not far at all from South Boundary Pond. Through the warm days of summer at South Boundary       Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows during the winter for South Boundary Pond tend to be in the-10's. Be careful coming to South Boundary Pond, you might not ever wanna return home again. South Boundary Pond is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Cupsuptic Campground is a magnificent local campground,                  and a lake close by is Northwest Pond. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Saddleback. South Boundary Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful.
