South Boundary Pond is always a pleasure to visit. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Saddleback since you're here; there's some out of the ordinary stuff to make out at Beaver Pond Dam in the vicinity of South Boundary Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The Arnold Trail is a delightful hiking trail in close proximity to South Boundary Pond, and Cupsuptic Campground is a fine campground nearby. | | Pond a quite wet place; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is typically the driest month. Going for a hike on the Morrell Trail is always a tremendous adventure; if you came for an overnight stay Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a great location to camp. is a great hiking trail. There's whitewater on Dead River - North Branch for all you adrenaline junkies. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at South Boundary Pond reach the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to
the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at South Boundary Pond temperatures sink to the-10's. This is a great area for people who like lakes. Little
Northwest Pond is a lake in the neighborhood; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Kennebago River.

 | 12 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
