Songo Pond is a nice lake to visit. The slopes of Mount Abram are so inviting nobody can resist. At Songo Pond through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Songo Pond fall into the-10's. Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. What would winter be without some skiing at Sunday River, and

| | there is a good hiking trail close by called the Albany Brook Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Crooked River, and if you came for an overnight stay Crocker Pond Campground is a great location to camp. From a rain point of view Songo Pond is a relatively typical site; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. The Bethel Inn Resort is a nice choice, and close by you locate the Albany Mountain Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining things to do in the White Mountains. Not
far from Songo Pond, you'll discover Sunken Pond which is a pretty lake; the panorama of Emery Hill is pretty. This lake is so wonderful. Patte Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and going for
a hike on the Albany Notch Trail is always a magnificent adventure. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Songo Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Patte Brook Waterfowl Impoundment
Reservoir, and The Victoria Inn is a good spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Bethel Outdoor Adventures Campground while you're here at Songo Pond; there's whitewater on Sunday River for all you thrill seekers. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains.
