Maine Mountain is a wonderful local campground, and a tremendous location for whitewater paddling is Ossipee River. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Sokokis Lake, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, typically in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Sokokis Lake are in the 0's. While you're here at Sokokis Lake,       you could also take a look at beautiful Haley Ponds, and the summit of Cannon Hill can be observed from Sokokis Lake. Sokokis Lake generally gets a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November; September is when it's the driest. Blackburn's Camp Ground is a tremendous campground nearby, and why not check out Sokokis Lake Dam if you're here. This place, Sokokis Lake, it just has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Shawnee Peak                  is a tremendous local ski area, and a perfect close by hotel is Sanford Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Do take a look at Pickerel Pond near Sokokis Lake, it's a delightful lake, and Sanford/Kennebunkport Super 8 Motel is a brilliant place to get some rest.
