This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Sanford Kennebunkport Area is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and not far from Sokokis Lake you'll locate Pickerel Pond which is a wonderful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Sokokis Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Maine       Mountain is a great local campground, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Little Ossipee River. All through the months of summer here at Sokokis Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Sokokis Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. That right there is heaps already, but it continues;                  Sokokis Lake has it all. A brilliant site for whitewater paddling close to Sokokis Lake is Ossipee River; Sanford Inn is a pleasant place to get some rest. The summit of Cannon Hill can be distinguished from Sokokis Lake; there are other spots here than Sokokis Lake, for example Haley Ponds. A perfect site to camp here at Sokokis Lake is Blackburn's Camp Ground; what would winter be without some skiing at Shawnee Peak.
