Sokokis Lake is a nice lake to visit. Sokokis Lake usually gets a lot of rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is September. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Sokokis Lake with night lows in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Sokokis Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. | | Super 8 Motel is a good site to spend a night or two; you can never get enough of the great skiing at Shawnee Peak.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Maine Mountain is a great location to do that; if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Ossipee River. Do visit Sokokis Lake Dam while you're here at Sokokis Lake; let's not forget Leavitt Brook which is a stream that you may run into while you're here.

Cannon Hill is a peak you can distinguish from Sokokis Lake; whitewater paddling is tremendous on Ossipee River. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Sokokis Lake. A good nearby hotel is Sanford Inn, and camping at Blackburn's Camp Ground is always a great experience.
