Paddling on Tannery Brook River is so much fun, and since you're here, you could also take a look at wonderful Ducktail Pond. The Peaked Mountain Trail is a nice hiking trail close to Snowshoe Pond, and a glorious location to camp here at Snowshoe Pond is Parks Pond Campground. Summertime highs at Snowshoe Pond regularly tend to be in the       70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Snowshoe Pond. Near Snowshoe Pond you come across the Old Gold Mine Trail which is a great hiking trail; at Snowshoe Pond you can catch a glimpse of Bald Bluff Mountain. What a location this is for outdoors folks.
