Go to Snare Creek if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of East Machias River in a kayak; a beautiful lake like The Pond is a tremendous place to pop by. Snare Creek Dam is lovely and it's in the neighborhood of Snare Creek. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Snare Creek has to offer, you can camp at Sunkhaze Campground. | | you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Little Pond Beach. Snare Creek really is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. A magnificent swamp near Snare Creek is Hopkins Gut, and get dripping wet paddling on Machias River. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Snare Creek, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. Creek. If you need a location to stay Bar Harbor Inn is a magnificent choice. If you're here at Snare Creek, do take a journey to Barney Point, and close by you discover the Mud Hole Trail which is a good hiking trail. This lake
is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Snare Creek that you need to camp here for a while, Sunkhaze Campground is a good site for that; West Branch Pleasant River Reservoir is a great lake close by. Nothing beats kicking back
at Pobblestone Cove; why not a little side visit to Hay Creek. The high level of rain makes Snare Creek a relatively wet place; December is the month that gets the most snow, and August meanwhile is the driest month.
