Don't leave Smith Pond without first going for a hike along the Gulf Hagas Trail It's always wonderful to take a look at Little Wilson Falls. From a precipitation point of view Smith Pond is a pretty normal place; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is mostly the driest month. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Smith Pond. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Moosehead       Lake is a perfect spot to spend a night or two, and Smith Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Northern Pride Lodge and Campground is a pleasant local campground. There's so much to do here at Smith Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Wildwood Shores Campground is a brilliant spot for that, and magnificent hiking is available along the Intake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Big Squaw,                  and you'll stumble on a striking lake called Prescott Pond. During the days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Smith Pond. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows through the winter for Smith Pond tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Number Four Mountain Trail. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Juniper Knee Bog is right close by, and while you're here, you could also explore beautiful Little Wilson Pond.
