    In Maine there are many beautiful lakes, Skunk Pond is one of them. Skunk Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Cupsuptic Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and a good spot for whitewater paddling is Magalloway River. Going for a hike on the Old Magalloway Trail is always a good adventure, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Rapid River. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Table Rock Trail; a lake close by is  
   Bigelow Pond.
At Skunk Pond through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Skunk Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. The high level of rainfall makes Skunk Pond a reasonably wet spot; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest month is February. This lake is located in the
 
               wonderful White Mountains.
This place, Skunk Pond, it clearly has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Mollidgewock Campground is a splendid local campground, and Skunk Pond is not the only place close by, Long Pond is a close by lake. So many cool things in the White Mountains, just inspiring. Good hiking is available along the Old Speck Mountain Trail, and swing by Ash Brook it's a pleasant site to visit. And that's not all there is to do here in the White Mountains. The snow is magnificent at Sunday River.
